This pair of exquisite chairs is composed of huanghuali, the most prized wood used for Chinese furniture. Each chair features a coiled dragon forming a circular medallion on the central splat near the crest rail. The chairs were previously in the private collection of Laurence Sickman, one of America’s foremost authorities on Chinese art.
