The large, colorful medallion, zig-zag pattern of marginal notes and use of Bihari script with its thick, sweeping horizontals combine to make this a striking and well-balanced work of art. Allah, the Muslim name for God, is highlighted in red each time it appears in the text. (G. D. Scott, III, 1994)
