This skeleton figure represents a vendor of small birds typically seen along the waterways surrounding Mexico City. This work was a part of a Día de Los Muertos exhibit made by the artist Miguel Linares, honoring the traditional bird sellers of the region. Linares’ series was inspired by a series of engravings by the Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada.

Esta figura de esqueleto muestra a una vendedora de pájaros pequeños de los cursos de agua que rodean la Ciudad de México. Esta obra fue parte de una exhibición del Día de Los Muertos realizada por el artista Miguel Linares, en homenaje a los vendedores de aves tradicionales de la región. La serie de Linares se inspiró en una serie de grabados del artista mexicano José Guadalupe Posada.
