Ceramicist Candelario Medrano was best known for his colorful “toys,” which portray small human figures atop fantastical arks, ships, and in churches. These pieces are actually quite delicate and were made for display rather than for play. Medrano was part of a community of celebrated ceramic artists from the town of Santa Cruz de las Huertas, located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.

Estas obras son delicadas y fueron hechas para exhibirse, más que para jugar con ellas.
