DescriptionMold-blown jug of light greenish-yellow glass. Cylindrical body with slightly rounded shoulder and narrow cylindrical neck; folded rim, with extra fold just below, beveled inside. Flat base; no pontil mark. Thick angular strap handle, of same color glass as the body, with seven sharp ribs; attached at shoulder and lower fold of rim. Wheel-cut or abraded geometric designs in three registers, covering entire body from shoulder to base; registers separated by bands of double or triple lines. Top: band of ovals, separated by sets of triple vertical lines; middle: band of oblique lines; bottom: band of alternating, opposing pentagons, composed of triple lines, each enclosing an oval.Provenancepurchased by Miriam Lutcher Stark (1859-1936), Orange, TX, from American Colony Stores, Jerusalem, 1927; by inheritance to her son, H.
