Label Text
This abstract rendering of a building is attributed to the Mezcala culture which thrived in the Rio Balsas region of Guerrero, Mexico. The Mezcala are best known for sculptures of anthropomorphic figurines and temples. The columns and stairs seen here are common to many other examples, but unique elements were added to each temple scultpure through elaboration of the building features or method of carving.
