Locked trunks and chests were popular pieces of furniture throughout Latin America from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries. This trunk has delicate wood inlay, also known as marquetry.

Los baúles eran muebles populares en toda América Latina durante los siglos XVI y XIX. Este baúl tiene una delicada incrustación de madera, una técnica que se conoce como: marquetería.
