DescriptionCrouching dog with snarling pose, the mouth open with teeth bared. Wearing ceremonial knotted collar with long flaps. Missing tail would have rested on back.Label TextDogs served as pets, guards, bed-warmers, and nutrition in Mesoamerica. They also played a spiritual role as guides through the underworld.
