A youth with two spears pursues a girl around the neck of this oinochoe. Several interpretations of the scene have been proposed, but all agree on the erotic aspect of the pursuit. Oinochoai with this scene might have served as grave gifts for girls who were “abducted” by death before they married. (Jessica Powers 2008)
