DescriptionSmall earthenware head of human; no neck present. On the head is headgear composed of two parts. One part is tilted to the left (as you look onto the figurine) and looks like "spiked" hair although it could be made of other material. The other component looks to me made of multiple solid circles grouped together.Label TextSmall human figural ceramics were abundant at Teotihuacan. Some were mold-made while others were finely rendered by hand. They offer an important glimpse of what inhabitants of Teotihuacan looked like and what they wore. They were used in domestic spaces and urban ceremonial buildings indicating their wide availability and use. Many more figurine heads like this one are present in museum collections than full-bodied figurines (Bernadette Cap, 2022).v
