Label Text
A fine example of the consummate craftsmanship and artistry of the late medieval Islamic metalsmith, the exterior of this bowl is decorated with six calligraphic cartouches alternating with six horsemen. On the interior, at the bottom of the vessel, a circle of whimsical fish hints that the bowl was intended as a water container. The bowl is also inscribed with the names of its previous owners.
