DescriptionA massive Chinese vase of inverted baluster form, surmounted by a tall trumpet form neck with bracket rim; porcelain decorated in the Fahua manner; the trailed slip decoration comprised of a broad continuous band of scrolling flowering lotus above a band of lappets; the shoulder with a band of cloud collar, each with a stylised cloud and an auspicious symbol; the neck with tall sprays of lingzhi and set with two sinuous chilong dragon handles; all in aubergine, yellow and turquoise enamels on an opaque cobalt blue ground; the interior of the neck dressed with green enamel.
