DescriptionThe lidded jar is done in coral, cobalt blue, green, and yellow colored enamels over white glaze. The overall scene is that of a courtyard scene with five women standing, then turning the jar clockwise, the scene is cut off by a thinly drawn coral colored line. There are three men standing facing toward the females. The two scenes are then separated by thick blue colored mountains and swivals of coral color clouds. The rim near the mouth of the jar is decorated with pine trees and peony blossoms. The lid is bell shaped with three children playing.ProvenanceMr. and Mrs. Walter F. BrownOn view
