DescriptionMold-made earthenware stamp in the shape of a rectangle. Motifs on the stamp are geometric. Stamp is broken on one end meaning that it lacks the entire geometric motif.Label TextStamps such as this were made by pressing clay into a mold. This allowed for many similar stamps to be made. This stamp might have been used with paint or dye to decorate cloth or the human body. The geometric motifs that make up this stamp mirror those painted on earthenware vessels.
